Yay! Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy decided to put their four year old daughter, Bryn Hoppy, first and not fight for full full custody and share custody instead. Although I am no longer a fan of Bethenny, the truth still remains: Jason had agreed to this a long time ago — this is why this circus has went on for so long. Also, I can see why any mother would never want to “share” custody.
Jason’s attorney, Bernard Clair, released a Press Statement:
“My client is delighted that this custody dispute has been resolved; that his co-parenting status has been acknowledged; that the parties’ child will have the benefit of being raised by both parents; and most importantly, that his daughter will no longer be at the mercy of a high profile courtroom battle,”
Mr. St Clair also said; the agreement will remain confidential. However, there are already “sources” saying;
“Jason is happy and will be involved in all the decision making”
That’s common sense. If a couple is going to agree to split custody, then of course they will both would be involved in decision making.
Reports were surfacing via Radar Online that advisers were suggesting that Bethenny agree to co parent because when Jason takes the stand on June 11, 2014, it could ruin her if the “truth” comes out. I don’t think there is anything Jason could say that could make non Bethenny fans like her any less. But one does have to wonder why Bethenny decided to suddenly agree to the agreement after almost of 3 years of battling. Things that make you go hmmm. Just Saying.
Now all the couple has to do is settle the actual divorce.
This is what I think; as I told you before, I really think Bethenny Frankel should give her soon-to-be-ex-husband, Jason Hoppy a cut of her Skinny Girl Sales and this is why.
Bethenny was sued by Raw Talent, (link above), from reading the court documents, it really looks like Bethenny did try to cut Raw Talent out of the deal despite being in touch with Raw Talent since 2008 trying to broker the deal. Bethenny did end up settling despite saying; “it would be cheaper”. Rather you’re a Bethenny Frankel fan or not, when you read the documents, you can see that Bethenny did try to jip Raw Talent. The links are above and below this small paragraph.
When Bethenny cut Raw Talent out, Jason Hoppy agreed to quit his job and work with Bethenny – not for Bethenny. Jason helped Bethenny finish and strike the deal with Jim Beam. Jason also lived Bethenny’s dream by appearing in all the spin off shows. Reality Tv is not good for marriages. In The Real Housewives Franchise alone, there are over 20 divorces. Despite Bethenny Frankel saying Jason “enjoyed” the perks of TV such as the perks of free meals and vacations, Jason did sacrifice allot for his soon to be ex wife. Who wouldn’t enjoy the perks? It does not mean that he loved it. On screen, Jason looked miserable. There is no doubt that Bethenny did win fans over when Jill Zilla Zarin staged a fight with Bethenny (that’s another story!) When all of this is said and done, Bethenny wants people to think she created her Skinny Girl Cocktail line from A-Z all by herself. That’s impossible for anyone to do. Heck, Bernadette Frankel, Bethenny Frankel‘s mother said, Bethenny stole the drink recipe off of her. Bernadette said she would make the drink for their over weight neighbor. Many people criticized Bernadette for speaking out against her daughter. However, you have to put yourself in Bernadette’s place — Bethenny was trash talking her mother, ya know, you can’t talk about people and not expect them to not defend themselves. Back to Jason, he was a big part of helping Bethenny sell her drink, it’s almost impossible to find a job when you experience an ugly public divorce. Bethenny got to tell the “world” how horrible Jason was — he’s not asking for 1/2 of everything, he’s asking for 10%. just give it to him and move on. That’s my opinion. If it weren’t for Jason, if we go by the court documents… Raw Talent didn’t help Bethenny — according to Bethenny.. Just Saying..
I hope in the end, both Jason Hoppy and Bethenny Frankel put their differences aside and do what is most important for their daughter Bryn, and keep Bryn out of the media.
